• General Objective: Address and reduce gender-based violence through support services, public awareness, and a community safety network in Thessaloniki.

Objectives:

1. Provide Support to 300 Women survivors and potential victims of Gender-Based Violence

• Social Services and Casework.
• Legal Assistance and Court Representation.
• Mental Health and Psychological Support.

2. Increase Public Awareness against Gender-Based Violence.

• Social Media Campaig,  “#SheChangeSpeak: Thessaloniki Raises its Voices Against Gender-Based Violence” to counter gender stereotypes and violence and promote inclusivity.
• Community Engagement  through an interactive Call to Action with an online survey to capture public views on consent, leading to a published white paper.
• Consultations with local actors and civil society.

3. Develop a network of local businesses to enable them to provide basic information and assistance to individuals who are at risk of Gender-Based Violence while acting as temporary safe spots until the relevant official actors arrive to take action.

• Establish a network of 50 local businesses and provide them with training on how to provide basic information and assistance to women who are victims or at risk of gender-based violence, and act as a temporary safe spot until the official actors arrive. The 50 businesses joining the network will advertise in a visible spot a relevant badge helping people recognize them as a safe, secure space where they can find temporary shelter.
• Deploy the power of social media and printed media to raise awareness about the meaning of the badge and inform the general community.
